Anarch Well this album blind-sided me. Was just looking around.. clicked play.. and it hit me. Uplifting rock album, combined with several other styles of course. The sound of this band is like something out of the early to late 70's and one that happened to be one of the best bands in history.. just something so authentic and mature about Its sound. can't wait to play this come summer time. It's got that vibe. Glad I found this unexpected gem.

Bucky This is simply some of the best music I’ve ever heard. These Spaniards have once again blown my mind combining elements of soul, southern rock, jazz, and psych into a composite strain of straight up rock n roll. Mandatory vinyl!

Keep on fighting, allright Allright, keep on fighting Put your feet on the ground Don’t you see what happens around? You’ve lost your touch Don’t you see they’re taking too much? Hey brother, don’t let go now Wake up and respect yourself Because you’ll loose your rights Well, it’s time to fight and choose and side Keep on fighting, allright Allright, keep on fighting Make your folks feel proud Don’t you see what happens around? It is time to settle accounts Don’t you feel you’re drowning down? Hey brother, don’t let go now Wake up and respect yourself Because they’ll pull you back Well, you talk too much but you don’t react Keep on fighting, allright Allright, keep on fighting

I will roll once more The walk to town is short Yes, but it’s too hot I will sell some old things In the pawn shop Mary Jane is high I take a look around I know where I can Meet you in town I’ll get in trouble if they Ever find us Beat old box of brass You always get me right You always bring a smile on me I lose all sense of time When you are by my side Lying on the grass When I get to your door The last remaining is gone I’m longing on for more I ask for you and They tell me that you’re gone They have to be wrong I miss your taste so much Reality is all wrong When I lack your touch I lose all sense of time When you are by my side Lying on the grass I carry you on my lap You carried all the weight off my back I lose all sense of time When you are by my side Lying on the grass

Don’t you ever love me Why you had to run? Ever since you left me All I do is cry I can see you are lonely Standing on the bow Come to me, put out the mourning Following the glow Girl bound in a golden brown Drew my sailors to your sound Down, where all men drown Until your one will be found Don’t you ever love me Why you had to go? Wish that I could make you all Wreck upon my shore Girl bound in a golden brown Drew my sailors to your sound Down, where all men drown Until your one will be found

Plastic Jail 02:11

about

‘Plastic Jail’ (2018) is the brand new album by the southern galician band, recorded troughout may and july 2018 at the amazing Radar recording studios in Vigo and self-published. With this new old-style recording The Soul Jacket come full circle, if surprisingly managing so in a somewhat revolutionary fashion. It is a new take on that unmatchable formula of Rhythm & Blues, Rock & Roll and Southern Soul that helped them surprise critics and audiences in their acclaimed debut in 2011. In this "plastic jail" the listener will only breathe a stuffy, sweaty atmosphere. The sound is compact, direct and in line with a frantic and uncertain present time. Winks to bands like Big Star, John Lennon's solo career or the first Heartbreakers also abound, the same way those sweeping mid-tempo tunes we know only too well make The Kinks and The Beatles often resonate. Both, a true return to the purest essence and a leap worthy of giants.
